Following our article in January Gambling with our health? Creating a new Public Health problem, the 21st April edition of the BMJ had two articles on gambling. One demonstrates the fact that the decision on building casinos in the UK did not give enough weight to the potential health effects, and details the first Council to outlaw the building of casinos in their area. The other editorial highlights Pathological Gambling in Parkinson's disease and the vulnerablity of this group of patients under certain treatments.
