Waiting Time Tricks - Patsy's Palour Games?

We are compiling a list of the reality of waiting times and are asking you to contact us with your stories of how health trusts have found inventive ways of meeting waiting time targets. Of course officially it doesn't happen, but unofficially we thought that you might be able to help us compile a list of the tricks of the waiting times trade! For instance we have already heard of the surgeon who was made to prioritise a varicose vein patient who was about to 'breach' over a life-saving operation for gangrene. Stay calm, he won the battle, the gangrene patient was seen first - but it's incredible that there was a battle!!! And do you know when the clock starts ticking in your area - when you write the referral letter or when it eventually lands on the hospital desk?...
